Jennie East

Parish Evangelist

Born near Wakefield, West Yorkshire and then went to P.E. College before teaching for 6 years in the Midlands.  Having made a Christian commitment at the age of 18 brought involvement in many aspects of Church life, but there was a feeling that more was to come.  This led to a calling to Church Army in 1978.  Church Army is a lay organisation devoted to sharing faith in Christ through words and action.  Since 1981 Jennie has served in es around Leeds with a ministry to all ages as well as enabling other Christians to develop their gifts.

Hi, I'm married to Andy, and work full time at St James' Hospital, doing ECGs.  2008 was my first year as Church Warden, and I continue to hope and pray that I will be of help and support to you, along with other members of our team.

I love a laugh, and craft work when I have the time.  I love animals and, most of all, God's wonderful creation.
